Adventures might take you all over Tamworth and the surrounding region, but eventually you'll come home. And when you do, it's often the simple things that matter — a hot shower, somewhere to cook dinner, a load of washing done, a swim in the pool, somewhere for the family to play or a quiet spot to sit and swap stories about the day.
At Austin Tourist Park, our facilities are practical, thoughtful and designed to make the everyday parts of travelling easier.
We're a family-owned park that's been growing and changing since 1982, so you'll find a mixture of established facilities, newer additions and a few things we're continuing to improve along the way.
If there's something you particularly need during your stay, ask us.
Sometimes the most useful facility is simply having someone to talk to.

Does Austin Tourist Park have a camp kitchen?
Yes. Our camp kitchen includes a fridge, freezer, microwave, an assortment of crockery and cutlery, picnic tables and a BBQ.
There are three BBQs located around Austin Tourist Park in total.
How many amenities blocks are there?
There are four amenities areas located around Austin Tourist Park, with facilities spread throughout the property.
No part of the park is more than approximately 50 metres from an amenities area.
Our main amenities include separate men's and ladies' toilets and showers, a family bathroom and our guest laundry.
Does Austin Tourist Park have a laundry?
Yes. Our guest laundry has three washing machines, two gas dryers, an iron and ironing board, with clotheslines nearby.
Laundry powder is available from reception.
The laundry is accessible 24 hours a day.
Do you have a swimming pool?
Yes. Austin Tourist Park has a fenced outdoor swimming pool, including a separate children's wading pool, seating, some shade and pool games.
Guests can use the pool at times that suit them, provided noise is kept considerate of other guests and park residents.
Is there a playground?
Yes. We have an onsite playground as well as pedal carts for some extra fun around the park.
Our Village Green is also being developed as a space for gatherings, activities and events.
Is Wi-Fi available?
Yes, but coverage varies around the park.
We currently have two areas where we're confident of a good Wi-Fi signal. Outside those areas, the strength and reliability of the connection can vary.
If Wi-Fi is particularly important to you, let us know when booking and we'll talk you through the best options.
Do powered sites have water and sullage?
Yes. Our powered caravan and camping sites have access to power, water and sullage.
A small number also have concrete slabs.
If you've got a particular site requirement or a larger rig, let us know when booking so we can help find a suitable option.
Does Austin Tourist Park have EV chargers?
Yes. We have two operational electric vehicle charging points.
Let us know you're travelling with an EV and ask our team about using the chargers during your stay.
Is there a dump point?
Yes. Austin Tourist Park has a dump point available for caravan and motorhome travellers staying at the park.
Can I swap an LPG gas bottle?
Yes. LPG Swap'n'Go is available at Austin Tourist Park. Ask our team at the office when you need a replacement bottle.
Does Austin Tourist Park have accessible facilities?
Facilities and access vary around the park, so if you have a particular mobility or accessibility requirement, we'd encourage you to contact us before booking.

Can we have a fire pit?
Fire pits can be used at Austin Tourist Park outside bushfire season and when conditions allow.
Guests need to bring their own suitable fire pit and firewood, and any current fire restrictions or directions from our team must be followed.
If you're not sure whether fires are permitted during your stay, ask us before lighting one.
